Status

The Search Committee has presented names to the Standing Committee as nominees for election as the Sixth Bishop of diocese-northwest-texas.
Announcement of nominees begins a 10-day period for Petition Candidates. See the Standing Committee letter on petition instructions: page-3192624.
Nominee materials include candidate essays, e.g. page-3192618 (Amy Haynie), page-3192621 (Christopher B. Thomas), page-3192620 (Betsy Randall).

2025-2026 Standing Committee: President the Rev. Matt Rowe (Emmanuel, San Angelo, see emmanuel-san-angelo); Mary Emeny; Carla Holeva (Holy Trinity, Midland, see holy-trinity-midland); Katy Hoskins; the Rev. Jim Haney V; Deacon Debbie Womack.
Bishop's Search Committee: Chair the Ven. Chris Wrampelmeier (St. Andrew's, Amarillo); Chaplain the Rev. Mary Glover; 13 further lay and clergy members from across the diocese, including a Canterbury (Texas Tech) representative (see canterbury-ttu).
Bishop's Transition Committee: Chair the Rev. Paige McKay; Chaplain the Rev. Dann Wigner; nine further members.

Lay delegates to the 2026 Diocesan Convention (page-3191893) plus active priests and deacons canonically resident and domiciled in the diocese with a ministry recognized in writing by the bishop.
Diocese-wide committee members elected in 2026 serve during the transition.
