Celebrating Our Summer Ordinations

The summer of 2026 saw the ordination of five members of the diocese-northwest-texas community across three services:

• May 30 (Abilene): Austin Hackel and Bikole Mulanda were ordained to the transitional diaconate at the Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest. Both have deep ties to the congregation.
• June 18 (Amarillo): Monica Smith Hart (St. Andrew's, Amarillo) and Jack Dupy (St. Matthew's, Pampa) were ordained to the transitional diaconate at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Both trained through the diocesan School of Ordained Ministry.
• August 22 (Manor): Bishop Scott Mayer ordained Jimmy Haney to the priesthood at St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church, where he serves as curate after graduating from Seminary of the Southwest in May. Fr. Jimmy remains canonically resident in the Diocese of Northwest Texas.
