Summer Camp News
Summer Camp plans are coming together—meet our clergy who will serve at our camps this year.

At Camp Quarterman, we are blessed to have Mother Miriam Scott from St. Andrew’s, Amarillo join the team. This will be Mother Miriam’s first diocesan camp. Camp Quarterman Jr. is excited to have Mother Leann Wigner, chaplain from Canterbury, Lubbock, join our younger campers for her second year. Father Bryan Callan, Vicar of St. Stephen’s Sweetwater and All Saints’ Colorado City, will be serving for his first time at CQJ. Joining both camps for his 9th year will be Father Jim Haney, rector at St. Paul’s, Lubbock. Father Jim works on the curriculum and music (plus a zillon other things) during each week.
Please share the information about summer camp with the youth from your parishes, your children, grandchildren, neighbors and friends. We hope they will join us for a week of great fun, and learning as we build friendships, work together, learn about God, and love one another.

The support of the diocese for our youth and the youth program is appreciated. Thank you! It is a joy to work with the youth and members from our churches in the diocese.
About the camp curriculum from Father Jim:
This summer our focus will be on an aspect that is integral to Christianity and to my experience of Camp Quarterman. CQ has been a place where many of us have experienced God's presence in a special way. And our focus this summer will be on the Incarnation, the way God has been especially present with us in the person of Jesus Christ. The program title is taken from a popular camp song ("The Lord of the Dance"). It is, “I Came Down from Heaven”: The Incarnation.
