SAFEGUARDING GOD’S CHILDREN

This program provides education and training for preventing and responding to child sexual abuse in everyday life and in ministry. It is geared to clergy, parents, youth workers, vestry members, and congregation members who are responsible for protecting children.

Safeguarding God’s Children coursework is mandatory for all persons working with and responsible for children in the Diocese of Northwest Texas, whether an employee, member of the clergy, or volunteer.

SAFEGUARDING Online

Note:  Our Safeguarding Online website is operational and may be used for anyone requiring re-certification in Safeguarding God’s Children. Re-certification must be completed every three years to comply with Diocesan Policy.

(Please note- the website MAY NOT be used for initial certification unless prior approval is attained through the Diocesan Safeguarding Coordinator’s office. This is done on a case-by-case basis only.)

Interested parties should complete a registration form and forward it to their deanery administrator. Forms may also be obtained from your church office or Safeguarding coordinator. Deanery administrators must complete the online registration process for each person prior to use of the online course.
